Reflection:
My career as a CEA has been the most impactful experience in many ways. I have a passion for working with children and truly love building impactful relationships with students. My experience as a CEA has helped prepare me for my role as a classroom teacher in many ways. Seeing first hand, the positive impact good support can have on a child, from both my career as a CEA as well as having a child with a learning disability has shown me the influence caring and supportive educators can have on the lives of their students. I recognize the transformative power that a teacher can have on a child’s life and this career will be something I will put my heart into each day.
Travel
My love of travel has allowed me to see much of the world and for this I am truly thankful. Travelling to Spain, Greece and Italy with my family, and seeing the rolling green hills and castles that Ireland has to offer has opened up my mind to what is out there. Going on a ‘bucket-list’ trip with my mom and my two daughters has been a dream of ours and to have witnessed the beautiful city of Paris with the most wonderful women in my life was an inspiration. I have dreams of eventually taking my teacher career abroad when my children are older. We must always be curious and inspired and to see the way education is in other countries is a future plan of mine.
