My Philosophy

Philosophy Assignment

Reflection:

For me, being a teacher is a commitment to be someone who establishes trusting, supportive relationships where students feel valued and believed in. This is a role I take very seriously and with great honor. My philosophy of education highlights the transformative power that a teacher can have on a child’s life and speaks to my belief that being a champion teacher goes far beyond simply sharing knowledge. I want to coach sports teams, create lunch clubs and create a classroom environment where students want to come to school every day. I commit to being a teacher who never gives up on any student and helps foster the holistic development of child.

Reflection:

I am deeply passionate about fostering inclusion in the classroom, and it is my personal mission to ensure that every child feels valued and never believes they are not enough. I have learned that creating a safe space in an environment that meets each child’s individual needs is essential to their growth and development.

I know first-hand what learning struggles look like. This is why I feel I have the knowledge and compassion to create a classroom where no one ever feels like they are not enough. I strive to meet students where they are at with the knowledge that no one learner is alike.
