Reflection: Upon completing our Social Justice presentation, I learned that for myself I view being an educator as a highest honor and recognize fully the transformative power that a teacher can have on a child’s life. I believe whole-heartedly that being a champion educator is a role that goes far beyond simply sharing knowledge. For me, teaching is about fostering the holistic development of a child. The power of connection for myself, runs deeps and I recognize the importance of building strong relationships between teachers and students. Strong and effective teachers see potential in all of their students.

Lesson Plans

Reflection: These were lessons from my first practicum in a grade 2 class at Bert Edwards Science & Tech School. English Language Arts is a passion of mine and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring these lessons with my practicum students. I learned so much from them, and it was a very positive experience. We explored so many different stories and lessons, and they even got to make their own cup of hot chocolate step by step.
